Dear Mullica Hill Resident: Imagine you are walking on Main Street in Mullica Hill on your way to the local coffeehouse. You happen to glance around and really see your surroundings. The new historically appropriate sidewalks are really lovely and easy for you to walk upon, the lush spring flowers in the huge planters smell wonderful and look just as nice as you walk on by. You remember how pretty the lanterns looked last night when you drove by on the way to the local supermarket. You stop and sit down on one of the new benches and think – What if the Mullica Hill “Vision” never happened? None of these improvements would exist – no benches, nor sidewalks nor historic lanterns or other improvements, which would make walking the downtown a destination rather than a way station onto somewhere else. |

A home is
one of the largest investments many of us ever make - it is so important
to know what the actual value of your property is. With the
ever-changing market, how do you determine the current value of your
home? Or if you are thinking of relocating, how do you learn about
the property values in other areas? Track real estate values in your
neighborhood or any neighborhood. |

Throughout
most of the 20th century, Mullica Hill has served as the principal
town and seat of government for Harrison Township and its businesses
catered to the needs of surrounding farms. While agriculture today
is still an important local industry, Mullica Hill's businesses are
no longer locally oriented. The town has emerged as a major antiques
and crafts center, and is widely known for its nostalgic charm.
Historic homes have been restored and the streets now bustle with
visitors from throughout the eastern seaboard.
In 1991, the entire village was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and the New Jersey State Register of Historic Places in recognition of its historic and architectural significance. The following year, Harrison Township established the village as a local historic district. |
